Julia Ekwall is an award-winning actor based in Los Angeles who is passionate about pushing for non-stereotypical Asian representation in film/television. She has multiple stage and screen credits to her name, with a role in the play Wit at the Playhouse on Park and the lead role in the films The Mountain and The Trial. She won Best Supporting Actress (Independent Short Awards 2022) for her role in When You Leave. She has also acted/modeled in the commercial space working for companies such as Google and Apple. Julia holds a B.A. in theatre and communication from the University of Scranton.

In addition to being an actor, Julia is a world traveler and an animal rights advocate. Some hobbies include volunteering, meditating, hosting gatherings, learning how to cook new vegan recipes, hiking and rock climbing.
